About the Retreat Centre
Villa Tramonte, a 17th century Tuscan estate, is set among the hills and olive groves of Northern Tuscany. It's located about 10 minutes, by car, outside the medieval village of Lucca, approximately an hour from Pisa and Florence.
The retreat centre comprises two separate houses, decorated in classic Tuscan style, with outdoor seating and tables for al fresco dining. Landscaped gardens peopled by rarely seen trees, shrubs and flowers invite you for leisurely afternoon strolls. The estate's gardens produces cold-pressed olive oil and fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables.
The Main Villa
The Main Villa has seven bedrooms, each with a connecting bathroom. Rooms are double occupancy and can be set up as one or two separate beds. There is a large, covered conservatory, as well as a spacious terrace, surrounded by beautiful plants and herbs, with tables, chairs and umbrellas for dining and socializing. The Main Villa is just steps away from the fully equipped studio.
The Gate House
The Gate House has three bedrooms, with shared bathrooms. The ground floor boasts a comfortable sitting area, with an open wood fireplace and a well-stocked bookcase. The south-facing terrace is equipped with tables, chairs and umbrellas for dining or socializing. Slightly farther afield are two attractive pergolas, sun loungers and a large swimming pool.
The Studio
The Studio is a restored fienile, which is a converted building that was once used for drying hay. A large, beautiful room gently and naturally lit by the Italian sun, the studio is fully equipped with Manduka yoga mats, blocks, bolsters, blankets and belts.
